SHITPOST THE RAINBOW
SKITTLES
Few projects let you go completely off the rails. Skittles was one of them. With seemingly total creative freedom, I got to lean all the way into absurdity, building a site packed with surreal visuals, nonsense copy, and general unhinged weirdness.

WOW SO AHEAD OF ITS TIME
BEFORE INFINITE SCROLLING WAS A THING, WE MADE AN ENDLESS RAINBOW OF ABSURDITY.

NEVERENDING WTFS
Before the algos took over and made every website into an infinite scroll, the Skittles site was a novel endless stream of absurd photoshops, dumb puns, and bizarre content.
INTERMISSIONS
Weird little intermissions were created as breaks in the long scroll of the site.
A DYNAMIC SITE
The dominant palette of the page was set by scraping Twitter mentions of color.
COPYWRITINβ
Somehow the dumb simple copy I wrote into my original comps for the site made it into the live version and helped shape the voice of the rainbow.
THE COLOR STREAM
A tumblr-like feed of ridiculous images, gifs and videos fills out the page.
OH LOOK A LIMOBABY!
My favorite intermission of a limousine baby got repeatedly watered down due to legal concerns.

Some serious photoshop work here.

THE YEAR WAS 2012
WE ALSO TRIED TO MAKE SKITTLES THE OFFICIAL CANDY OF THE END OF THE WORLD.

Proposed designs for an END-OF-THE-WORLD app with minigames celebrating the apocalypse launching every month. Maybe itβs time to bring this back?
