I led this simple redesign project to give visitors greater access to all the video content available for current and archived films in the IFC Films library. The concept puts trailers literally everywhere on the site - from the fullscreen video homepage to a persistent trailer drawer, visitors to the site are always a click (or less) away from watching the films.
The homepage is a fullscreen video experience where trailers for the newest released films are playing automatically. Visitors to the IFC Films site were overwhelmingly coming to watch trailers, so we designed an experience that put trailers on every page.
A trailer drawer sticks to the left side of secondary pages, giving persistent access to the trailers wherever you are on the site.
We also designed a secondary color palette to be used to distinguish the horror & sci-fi sub-brand IFC Midnight from the rest of the site.
The previous site had an old Flash homepage, so we brought the new one up to date in a fully responsive way.
